Its the beginning of the holiday season and we couldn’t be more thankful for an amazing 2015. The island is getting quieter as fall winds down and winter ushers in its own unique version of island beauty. Soon the land will be covered with morning frost, the beaches will be abandoned by all except for a few brave souls who walk them year round with excited dogs in tow. This is the time of year for exploring and adventuring into her bare beauty by land and sea. The north side of the island in Oak Bluffs own Sengekatacket Pond, will be full of world class kitesurfer’s (sponsored by the famous Black Dog) braving close to freezing air temperatures and 30mph-40mph winds for the ride of a lifetime. Local surfers will start to brave the predawn ocean for a chance to ride that perfect wave. The restaurants and pubs start to have that local feel again. The island is coming back to herself, and we invite you to join us this late fall to experience the island in her off season splendor.
