Overlooking Nantucket Sound, the Surfside offers a premier location in Oak Bluffs; with Oak Bluffs Harbor and the Sound in your backyard and cafes, shopping, fine restaurants and historic sites in your frontyard.

As a Pet Friendly and family owned and run motel we invite well behaved pets to vacation with their owners and enjoy our special pet amenities while you enjoy our air-conditioning, private baths, private phones, cable color TV, refrigerators in every room (Jacuzzis and microwaves in select rooms and suites), beautiful gardens, and exceptionally friendly staff. We also serve a delicious Continental Breakfast every day during the summer months from 7 AM until 11 AM. We also serve continental breakfast Saturday and Sunday mornings in September! Also, we serve Tea and Coffee every morning year round!

Whether you bring your car on the ferry or rent a car, the Surfside has Guest Parking available onsite. Bicyclists may use our bike rack before heading out to explore the island for the day.

The Surfside's gracious island charm is enhanced by our shops and restaurant on the first floor. Browse through Vineyard Jewlery for beautiful and exotic jewelry, or stop by BodyArt for an air-brushed or henna tattoo. Dine in O-Sun Asian Kitchen offering lunch and dinner. If you are or a close family member served in the military, we can offer you our Military Discount Sunday through Thursday.

Our Policies

All reservations require at least a 50% advance deposit. Advance deposits may be paid by Visa, MasterCard, Discover or American Express. If you are not paying your advance reservation by credit card, we will hold your reservation for 7 days in order for you to forward a check. Please be advised that our office must receive all checks a full 7 business days prior to your arrival. No checks are accepted upon arrival.

Holiday weekends require a three-night minimum stay. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee the weather. We will not be able to refund moneys for shortened stays. If you have an emergency and must leave early, please ask about rescheduling your visit. We would be happy to try to accomodate you on a different date. The higher rate would apply. One-night reservations are not accepted from June 15th through September 5, 2008 or on weekends. However, when one-night reservations are accepted, the deposit amount is 100%.

Cancellation Policy
Guests that cancel their reservation 14 days or more prior to their arrival date will receive a full refund of their deposit (50% for 2 or more nights, 100% for 1 night stays). Guests that cancel between 13 and five days prior to their arrival date will be assessed a $50.00 processing fee. Guests who cancel fewer than five days prior to their arrival date, or fail to cancel, will forfeit their deposit of 50% if they have booked for 2 or more nights; 1 night reservations will forfeit 100% of their deposit. If a guest did not put down a deposit, their credit card will be charged.
