Dog Friendly Hotel on Martha’s Vineyard

Martha’s Vineyard Surfside Hotel is a dog-friendly hotel on Martha’s Vineyard and welcomes well-trained and housebroken dogs along with their responsible pet owners. We are one of the few dog-friendly hotels on Martha’s Vineyard and one of the only hotels where pets can stay in all rooms! Martha’s Vineyard Surfside Hotel has been awarded Cape Cod Life’s 2021 Readers’ Choice Award for pet-friendly lodging in Oaks Bluffs!

PET RULES

Guests must provide the Front Desk with a cell phone number when their dog is left alone in a room as we need to be able to reach guests in case of excessive barking. Guests must immediately return to the motel to calm their dog(s) if they are contacted by our staff.

We have no breed, size, or weight restrictions!

All pets must be housebroken, and dogs must have attended obedience school.

Dogs must always be kept under control and on a leash.

Visiting dogs must be PEOPLE and DOG FRIENDLY.

It is at the housekeeper’s discretion whether to clean a room while a pet is inside. This is to prevent any escapes. Towels, soap, etc. are available at the Front Desk after housekeeping hours (8 AM until 3 PM).

All pets must be on a monthly anti-flea and tick medication and be up to date with their shots.

There is an additional non-refundable $40.00 surcharge per night, per pet.

We do recommend that if you or another member of your party have pet allergies stay at a non-pet-friendly establishment.

Most taxis and public buses do allow dogs, though it is at the discretion of the driver. Call our Front Desk for a list of restaurants that have pet-friendly outdoor seating.

It takes less than a minute (About 15 seconds) to go to their site and click on the purple box ‘CLICK TO GIVE – IT’S FREE’. This does not cost you anything and you can click the purple box once every two hours. Their corporate sponsors/advertisers use the number of daily visits to donate food to abandoned/neglected animals in exchange for advertising.
