Bluffs, home to the Surfside Motel, is an island gem.
The Flying Horses, oldest carousel in the US, the historic
Campground,
Tabernacle and Inkwell Beach are within a few minutes
walk from your hotel.
Getting
Around the Island
ake your choice-bicycles, moped, car, bus, trolley or taxi-getting
around the island is easy. Bicycle and moped rentals
are available steps from the Surfside. Or if you are bringing
your bicycle
the Surfside has bicycle racks for your convenience. The
Vineyard Transit Authority bus operates on the island
year round and there is a bus stop adjacent to the motel. The
bus will take you to
all major points on the island and it is frequent and inexpensive.
Taxi service is available to all points
on the island and the taxis operate from the ferry dock and from
the corner of Circuit
Avenue just steps from the motel. Car
rental is available on
the island. Most major car rental companies operate at the
Airport in addition to local car rental companies. We can coordinate
rentals for our guests. Advance reservations are suggested
for
car rentals.
