Martha’s Vineyard Surfside Hotel is one of few hotels in Oak Bluffs, Martha’s Vineyard that’s conveniently located just 100 yards from the Ferry Dock, 20 minutes from the airport, and 10 minutes from the Vineyard Haven Ferry Dock.

From the Oak Bluffs’ ferry dock go straight down the street (Oak Bluffs Avenue). The Surfside Hotel is the third building down on your right just 100 yards from the ferry dock. After checking in you will be directed to our two parking lots behind The Hotel (down Oak Bluffs Avenue take the first right on Circuit Ave Extension, then another first right on Pasque Avenue).

From the Vineyard Haven ferry dock go to the left onto Water Street. Proceed to the stop sign at the five-corner intersection and take a left. Take Beach Road as it winds along the beach and follow the signs to Oak Bluffs Center. Once in Oak Bluffs, take a left just past the Flying Horse Carousel (red building) and you will see The Hotel directly in front of you on Oak Bluffs Ave.

We are steps away from the Oak Bluffs Ferry Terminal. From May 17, 2022, to October 19, 2022, ferries will arrive and depart from Oak Bluffs. Outside of those dates, Vineyard Haven will be the main ferry terminal.

Ferries to the Island sail from Falmouth, Hyannis, Nantucket, New Bedford, Woods Hole, MA, and Quonset Point, RI. All boats except for the Woods Hole ferries are passenger-only. If you plan to bring a car to the island you will leave from Woods Hole. Advance vehicle reservations are required. For the ferry schedule please refer to:

If you wish to leave your car on the mainland, parking is available near the ferry port at parking lots for a set daily fee.

From New York to New Bedford: Take I-95 to Providence; take I-195 East. To Falmouth and Woods Hole: Continue from New Bedford on I-195 East; take Route 25 East (I-195 South); cross over the Bourne Bridge; follow Route 28 South to Falmouth and Woods Hole. To Hyannis: Continue from New Bedford on I-195 East, take Route 25 East (I-495 South), and then follow Route 6.

From Boston: Take Route 3 to the Sagamore Bridge, cross over the bridge, and follow Route 28 South to Falmouth and Woods Hole. To Hyannis: Follow Route 6 East.

We are the only Oak Bluffs hotel with a private parking lot. From Memorial Day to Labor Day parking is $30 per night per car. It is first come first serve.
