Martha’s Vineyard African American Film Festival
For twenty years, The Run & Shoot Filmworks has hosted the Martha’s Vineyard African American Film Festival. From August 5-13, the creative visual arts of African American filmmakers will be premiered, along with panels from acclaimed directors, writers, and producers.
Grand Illumination Night
On Wednesday, August 17, join in on one of Martha’s Vineyard’s oldest traditions. Grand Illumination Night is a celebration that involves the Victorian gingerbread houses being adorned with 100s of colorful Japanese lanterns. Take a stroll along the historic homes and enjoy the vibrant lights illuminating your path!
160th Martha’s Vineyard Fair
The Martha’s Vineyard Fair is the perfect event to celebrate all parts of the beach town’s culture. The county fair will be from August 18- 21 at Agricultural Hall in West Tisbury. Carnival rides will be on the fairgrounds, along with games, and livestock shows.
Beach Road Weekend Music Festival
From August 26-28, enjoy a great weekend of music at the Beach Road Weekend Music Festival. The lineup varies from pop, rock, and other exciting genres and will be performed at Veterans Memorial Park.
Vineyard Campout
Are you ready to jam out this summer? On September 9 & 10, enjoy a one-of-a-kind musical experience with a campout style. Vineyard Campout will have performances from terrific acts like Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, Eggy, and Maggie Rose. Martha’s Vineyard is proud to be partnered with them for such a cool event!
